The Clear Brook High School Latin Club continues a winning tradition in the language, culture, and history of ancient Rome and Greece. We are among the strongest Latin organizations in Texas, competing in many categories in JCL (Junior Classical League) conventions. Throughout the year we also hold various fun events such as Toga Bowling and Saturnalia.
NB: If you try to download anything from this site, you will get a box asking for a username and password. The username is our teacher's real last name (with the first letter capitalized). The password is the two-word name that said teacher calls our class notes (all lowercase and leave out the space).

TSJCL State is coming up so here’s some information:
The bus leaves Brook at 8:00 AM, March 27. We’ll arrive at the hotel in Dallas around 3 PM, then head to SMU (Southern Methodist University) for the Pentathlon and performance contests. On Saturday, we’ll take category tests, then Ludi, Open Certamen (yay), etc. We should be back to CBHS around 2 AM Sunday morning.
Things to consider bringing…
- Money. CBJCL will only provide one meal (pizza for lunch on Sunday).
- Something fun to do (cards, book(s), laptop, portable gaming device…)
- Study materials! The civ packet is a must, and any category stuff is very good as well.
- Your finished art piece, if you’re participating in an art contest
- Latin shirt(s)
